To achieve optimal water quality with minimal energy consumption, the AS Control 4, allows you to take full control of your filtration and backwash speeds.

Why is speed control so important?
By dividing the pump flowrate by 2, pressure loss and energy consumption are reduced by 75%! At the same time, because the filtration speed is halved, filtration performance is increased by a factor of 4! High filtration performance means less chemicals, resulting in healthier water and better air quality at lower costs.

For the best filtration results and money savings,
we recommend a 24/7 filtration as follows:

	Slow speed (enonomy mode) should be used most of the time whenever the pool is closed and is not being used. During the economy mode, you will get the finest possible filtration with an energy consumption close to 0. At night, a very slow filtration is ideal to prevent any stagnant water in your pool system. Moving water is safe water => less bacterial growth!
	Medium speed (normal mode) should be used during day time for at least a full circulation cycle. Use the medium speed when the pool cover is open, sun is up or temperature is warm, and whenever the pool is being used (swimming mode)! The medium speed offers perfect hydraulics, keeps the pool surface clean and guarantees a good water mixing in the pool but also in the balance tank.
	Fast speed (boost mode) should be used for your weekly backwash. Indeed, when it comes to backwash, fast and short is better than slow and long. Program your backwash time and duration in the AS Control 4 using the boost mode at high speed!

AUTOMATIC BACKWASH & RINSING

Backwashes are probably the most important step to keep a pool water of the highest quality. With the AS Control 4 and a Besgo 5-way valve you can program your filter backwash time, duration and speed.

Thanks to a lower pressure drop and higher backwash velocity than traditional 6-way valves, our Besgo 5-way valve will give you the best backwash results! Optionally, you can add a Besgo 3-way valve to benefit from automatic filter rinsing.

AS CONTROL 4 “BOTTOM MODE”
Slim skimmers provide a high water level in your pool, but during backwash, the water level often drops below the skimmer and the pump runs dry. To solve that problem, we have developed the “bottom mode”.

With the installation of a Besgo 3-way valve your backwashes can be done automatically from your pool’s bottom drain to ensure you that sufficient pool water is available for backwashing.
